Privacy policy

GovReady PBC is committed to the confidentiality and security of the information that you entrust in our care as you use this service.

About the information we collect

If you create an account on GovReady-Q, we ask you for a username, your email address(es), and a password to protect your account. Your password is stored only in hashed (matchable but non-recoverable) form. As you use GovReady-Q, you may provide profile information such as your full name and a photo, you may start compliance apps and invite other users to apps you are working on, you may answer questions inside compliance apps, and you may leave comments on discussions — that becomes information we store and share with others you are collaborating on tasks with, including other members of your organization that have been invited by others to work on those tasks. You can modify any of the personally identifiable information you provide to us through your profile page.

As with your visits to most other websites, GovReady-Q collects typical information needed to maintain a healthy website, including the date and time of each resource you access, your computer’s IP address, the website you came from, and web browser and device properties, which are used for fraud prevention and analytics purposes. We also set a cookie, which let’s us remember who you are and is used for things such as keeping you logged in.

GovReady-Q collects the same information whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track header.

Our security practices

The connection between your browser and our web server is encrypted. We employ PBKDF2 SHA256 (100,000 iterations) for password hashing and TLS with third-party services. We do not embed third-party-hosted resources. This all keeps your information secure.

How we use your information and who we share your information with

We use the information we collect about you to provide the GovReady-Q service to you, to make recommendations about how you can use the service better, so that we can best understand how to improve it, and so that we can maintain the safety and security of our service, including preventing harrassment, fraud, bodily harm, abuse of our service, and other illegal activity. Your profile information, answers to compliance app questions, and discussion comments you make will be shared with other GovReady-Q users who are participating in the same tasks you are, as well as with the administrators of your organization. We’ll use your email address to send you notifications about the tasks you are working on and important service notices.

We may share the information you provide with our vendors under contract. We also may share your information in aggregate, non-personally-identifiable form. In the event our company is purchased by another company, or our assets are purchased, we may transfer your information to the new owner. We will share your information pursuant to a legal request such as a search warrant, court order, or subpoena when the law requires us to do so. We may retain information from accounts subject to an investigation or to prevent abuse longer than normal.

Children's Privacy

GovReady-Q is not a website aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such person to register to use the service. If we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without parental consent, we will promptly delete that information. You may contact us if you believe we have any personal information about a child under the age of 13.
